  Translation of "Crisis of Conscience" in French

  "crisis of conscience" (4th edition - revised 2002) is now completely translated in french.. for those who understand (or read) french, there are two new chapters of coc on my website :.

  please note this is made at the request and with the complete agreement of raymond franz.. translation was procuced by a team of five persons : two living in france, two in belgium (my wife and myself) and one in the usa (my dear friend celia, a member of this forum).. one point remains : the book is not yet published, because with face some difficulties to find a publishing house.. jacquesrequest to put on this website two chapters of "crisis of conscience" in french .

  Nathan : One publishing house was interested in Belgium, but being to small, they are unable to guarantee the distribution. I am sure that the recent US report about "religious freedom" in which they point Belgium, France and Germany has something to do with the situation.

  Hamas, JH : I agree. "Crisis of Conscience" in French will create a huge impact in France.

  Question about Russell's gravestone

  i read on the official website of the "grand lodge of british columbia and yukon" the following :.

  "russell was not a freemason.

  neither the symbols found in the watchtower nor the cross and crown symbol are exclusively masonic.

  "Russell was not a freemason. Neither the symbols found in the Watchtower nor the cross and crown symbol are exclusively masonic. And the cross and crown symbol does not appear on his gravestone in Pampa, Texas — it appears on a memorial erected some years later".

  I know that Russell died on a train in Pampa, Texas.

  But is it true that his gravestone is in Pampa ?

  This statement seems strange for me.

  Looking for a scripture for CO/Elders visit...

  can anyone help me please, i think i remember a scripture something like; 'if a man tells you to do something and doesn't do it himself, don't listen to him'.

  i cannot find it, i thought it was in proverbs(nwt) but maybe i imagined it.. anyway, it is possible that the co might visit me late december, i have made a few informal requests, and i'd like to be massively prepared.i have a whole array of un documents/info ready.. if you can help with the above scripture i'd be thrilled.. ta, meaty.

  Besides the scriptures, when you are visited by elders or by a CO + elders, a very good counsel : take a piece of paper or better a notebook and say : "Brothers, I will take note of our conversation". Believe me, they will be completely perturbed :-)

  Definitely yes, it is possible.

  Me and my wife were JW from 1956 till 1997 ( ... 41 years). I was an elder (presiding overseer) and my wife "served" as regular pionner.

  Since 1998, we are Roman Catholics and our live is better than before. Now, we believe in a God of love, and not a God of destruction.

  my husband and i got into a discussion about joining the local catholic church, signing up for 2.5% of our income and getting married by a priest.

  never went to church until 5 years ago.

  we agreed to look into it.

  Dear teenyuck,

  I am French speaking. Please forgive my bad English.

  Me and my wife were Jehovah's Witnesses from 1956 till 1997 (yes, 41 years !). I was an elder and my wife was regular pioneer.

  We left the organization mainly for doctrinal reasons. In 1998, we joined the Catholic church.We married in 1956 in the JW Kingdom Hall, but in 1999, we renewed our vows in our catholic community and the priest gave us the Lord's benediction. It was a beautiful celebration, with more than 150 peopleD.

  Here, in Belgium, people intending to marry in the church have to pay a certain amount. But it is very reasonable and covers costs for heating, electricity ...etc. As Paduan mentions, those who have financial problems are not paying.

  subliminal pictures in WT publications

  a recent thread got me quite interested in this, as i was amazed to hear that some people have seen "demonic" looking picture in dub publications; i do remember being shown by a dub in the revelatiopn book a picture of jehovah (or jesus, i cant remember ) smashing something with a big rod, adn there is a hideous lloking claw, reaching up trying to grap the stick (or sceptre i cant remember what it was) sorry if this post is really incoherant, i just had two double vodkas with vanilla coke!!.

  anyway, i was quite astonished ot read that others have seen other images.

  what im after in this thread is a list of where people have seen these images and in what publications; i remember showing this certain picture to my family and them saying "are you really trying to tell me that jehovah would allow the demons to do this in his publications.

  I agree with you, Mitch ! Our imagination can be misleading. But the pictures put on my pages are not mine. They were seen by at least four witnesses (not JW :-) living in different parts of the world and not connected together.
